A typical day
We find that there is a reassurance for our Residents in a consistent format to their week, however we do like to include special moments where possible.
Breakfast is taken between 8-9am in the dining room or in your room as appropriate. This is followed with music in the Day Room, TV in the Activity Room or retiring back to the Residents room. The personal newspapers are passed to the Residents to catch up with the national events.
Tea & coffee is served at 10:30am and Mass held four times a week in the chapel at 11am.
Lunch is a focal point of the day and is taken at 12:15-1pm. A choice is available every day for your meal, not to mention to the variety for dessert!
Afternoons vary a little each day, however there is always something taking place. The following are examples of what the Residents may choose to join in with: chair exercises, painting, gardening, arts & crafts, quizzes and sing-a-longs. A musician joins us weekly, a news group is run and we have regular summer excursions.
When also considering the weekly hairdresser, plus chiropodist, there is the opportunity for days to become as full as our Residents would like them to be.
An evening meal completes the day as the Residents wind down for the evening through television, reading or as seen as appropriate.
Visitors are welcomed at any time, although we do recommend meal times are avoided when possible.
