A typical day

We find that there is a reassurance for our Residents in a consistent format to their week, however, we do like to include special moments where possible.

Breakfast is taken between 8-9am in the dining room or in your room as appropriate. This is followed with music in the Day Room, TV in the Activity Room or retiring back to the Resident’s room. The newspapers are passed to the Residents to catch up with the national events.

Tea and coffee is served at 10:30am and Mass is held twice a week in the chapel at 11am.  We also have regular communion and rosary services.

Lunch is a focal point of the day and is taken at 12:15-1pm.  There is a choice of meals and there is a wide variety of desserts!

Afternoons vary a little each day, however, there is always something taking place. The following are examples of what the Residents may choose to join in with: chair exercises, painting, gardening, arts and crafts, quizzes and sing-a-longs. A musician joins us weekly, a news group is run and we have regular summer excursions.

An evening meal completes the day as the Residents wind down for the evening, watching television or reading.

Visitors are welcomed at any time, although we do recommend meal times are avoided when possible.
